ABNA24 - The President of Belarus, commenting on the real motives behind U.S. policy toward Iran, stated that "it is all about oil."
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, discussing the true motivations of U.S. policy toward Iran as revealed by Donald Trump, remarked: "Look at Trump and the United States. Why do I—joking, of course—approve of his policy? Because he has exposed it to the bone. He showed: 'What human rights? What democracy?! It’s all about oil!' And for this, they kill, they fire missiles, they do everything."
Lukashenko noted: "The Israelis came to Trump and asked him to go to war against Iran. They forgot the Holocaust, they forgot Gaza—where people and children died—they forgot everything. Israel wanted to fight Iran. Why are you [the U.S.] getting involved? In the end, you will be burying your own people there."
The Belarusian head of state continued: "Coffins have slowly begun arriving in America, and society is outraged. Two-thirds of the people are already opposed to this decision. So I said: 'Tell Donald [Trump] to let Israel fight Iran itself; we will see what happens.' You hear these phrases like 'we bombed here,' 'we hit it with missiles,' 'we will take the uranium tomorrow.' But the main point is oil. They say, 'We will seize Kharg Island.' This island is hundreds of kilometers away from the Strait of Hormuz and has no effect on the passage of ships there. However, the Americans have slowly begun to retreat. I am sure the Israelis will also realize they have become involved in something they should not have."
Alexander Lukashenko further pointed out that Israel considers many surrounding countries as enemies and attacks them. "They cannot conquer the entire world with such a population. They thought the Americans would do it for them," he concluded.
